This is exciting! There is much to behold in the sight of a thriving garden. We stand by a simple belief that great food can be grown in your backyard. We believe in the power of companion gardening-putting friendly plants next to each other so they can gang up on pests and diseases. And, we believe that we can all do something to make a difference. Growing food for you, your family, friends, and neighbors is a great step forward.
Why should you choose us? Our farmers understand the impacts of homegrown vegetation. First and foremost- there’s not a lot that can beat the taste of a fresh picked vegetable!! Their flavors will awaken your taste buds and have you questioning why we settle for commercial veggies. When was the last time you saw the true color of a vine ripened tomato, or heard the snap of a green bean being picked right off of the bush? Mmm… get your senses ready, because they are in for an overhaul this season!
Second, your garden will help benefit the environment. Your vegetables are brought in fresh from the yard- not trucked in from a faraway state or country! No trucks on the highway or planes in the air means, gas used or carbon emitted is next to none. That equates to your radishes leaving almost no carbon footprint! And- since the vegetables we grow are maintained using organic practices- you can rest assured that not only are there zero added chemicals or pesticides, but also that each plant you grow is not genetically modified. Like they say- if it ain’t broke…
Last, you have bragging rights! No dish will taste as good as the one you serve fresh picked from your garden. Sharing with your friends and family is great, and you will get lots of oohs and aahs- we bet on it!
About Our Seeds Our plants are started indoors with great care. Almost every seed we have is certified organic, and most are an heirloom, open- pollinated variety. That fancy title just means they haven’t been tinkered with. The plant grown will produce exactly what Mother Nature intended it to- and at the correct pace. There is no need to alter the cycle of a plant to ensure freshness or ripeness, because you can watch it with your eyes. Of course- smell it, too! The seeds are planted in a soil that is enriched with the nutrients needed for a healthy start, then transplanted into your garden for the rest of its days…
